Double Tap on Tanks

Simple question. Does the Double-Tap perk have any effect at all on the turrets of a Tank?

Double Tap on the M16

On the M16A4 page, it says that Double Tap increases the rate at which the separate bullets are fired, AND decreases the time between bursts, while this page says it only increases the fire rate of the bullets within the burst. Someone ought to find out which one is right and correct whichever page is wrong.
